what's your style?

Photobucket
That question kinda irks me...I never know how to answer and I really hate those typical responses. For me I just know what I love and know what I hate. There's no in between.

How would you describe your personal style? What if words can't describe? I guess that's why God invented blogs.

I never know how to answer it either :)

Completely agree, I hate that and also "what kind of music do you listen to" because that's just as difficult for me to describe haha! You look amazing in everything though! x

Wow, you have great style, so many great outfits!
I hate this question too, because it depends so much on mood and what is influencing you and inspiring you. Style is a fluid concept, and I don't think it should be fixed as just one thing

great blog!

I don't like this question either. Funnily enough I do know many women who can answer this, they're either classic or elegant or boho or vintage...

I love your style, indeed a mixture of styles and moods that you are in that particular day. That's how I dress. Entirely mood and colour mood dependant.

i think style can be defined in very broad broad terms, like "Street" or "couture" or "thrift/vintage", but those categories are filled with myriad variations and their definitions fluid and changing.

I agree, I don't have a typical style of my own, I could say that my own style is every type of style :)

I don't know how I would describe my style... I'm pretty simple. I tend to focus on one thing only.

I find it hard to describe my style, because I don't want to label myself.

Love your style, and totally agree - this is why there are blogs!

I think my style is too mood-based to describe. Some days I may look like a granny, some days a secretary, other days a vintage pinup and quite often a messy grunge kid! All depends what editorials and blogs I've seen, or maybe a movie?

Today, I'm totally channeling Goldie in Overbaord - in baggy florals, after she fell off the boat!

Wow! I'm impressed and kinda inspired to do my own, to be honest. Hope you don't mind if you see a similar collage on Live Love LA sometime in the near future.
I would call your style "office class with sass." Yes, that's copyrighted :P
As for my personal style... well, I hope the collage reveals that to me.

Agreed. Your collection of outfits is so incredibly diverse, creative, innovative, and definitely indescribable. I love the variety, but I also love people who have a specific sense of identifiable style that I can also recognize (a la Kate Lanphear). But you're definitely one of a kind, a creative cat ;) And my personal style is "In progress." I'm still stuck in a rut, but I'm not that worried. Eventually I'll find a niche that I'll feel comfortable in :)

Yeah, I find this to be a worthless question too. Like you said, you like what you like and hate what you hate. Why is there a need to box yourself in? There's no point in defining and labeling something that's an ever-evolving fun and creative process.
